You know you've been too long in Daya Dan when...

  - You start to think Ankur is cute. Especially when he says: “Auntie, look!” or when he rocks back and forth to the rhythm of the music (to sum it up: he's cute when he is not running around having evil thoughts)

  -  You have been asked to either: make up a choreography, look up for very specific Christmas music (that is fast but not too fast, does not include Santa Claus or snow in its lyrics, has drums in it and that its catchy), make a fan that looks as if it is on fire (weird but true), sort out the Arts & Crafts cabinet, teach somebody to go to the potty, teach somebody to shave, make a star, scrub the walls, go shopping with the Sisters, rehearse drama lines, take kids to Mini Olympics, cemetery, theater or celebrations for Mother Theresa`s birth centenary in taxis, buses or ambulances.
  -  You know what it means to “use the pipe” when you take Bernard to the toilet
  -  You have danced to “do the hocky pocky”, “congratulations” and “the birthday song”
  -  You have been afraid of Deepak
  -  Stepping on pee has become completely natural
  -  You know the name of at least 3 Mashees, and you have your favorites as well
  -  You know the song “Good morning, good morning, good morning how are you?” better than your national anthem
  -  You hum to yourself throughout the day the tunes to either: “flicker, flicker”, “Joy to the world”, “Merry Christmas Polka” or “We thank you, we thank you dear Jesus, la ra la la ra la la la la”
  -  You have laughed with Sister Anjali
  -  You know that on Wednesdays we prepare Arts & Crafts, on Thursday we have day off, on Friday we make Arts & Crafts, Saturday we go to the park and Sunday is for Mass.
  -  At 10:30 sharp, you crave for your tea and biscuits
  -  Your vocabulary has been reduced to: “good boy!”, “bad boy!”, “WOW” and “NOOOO”
  -  You know that balloons are for Joakim, half moons for Binoy, that Dilip steals colors and pencils, Justice sings, that Rama is shy and helpful and that Joy never sleeps
  -  You are familiar with some of the following phrases: “no speaking alone, Justice!”, “Rahul, are you tired?”, “Auntie look, its spinning!”, “Take a photo of the fan!”, “Rakesh`s birthday!”, “Ba ba ba ba ba (Manu)”, “Emepi (Dilip)”, “
  -  You have felt anxious around Sister Jonafa at one point or another
  -   You know that shorts, sheets, underpants and shirts have all different lines for drying out in the roof top.
  -  You have sang (or heard) “Bashkar it’s a wonderful Bashkar, it’s a wonderful world, wonderful world” more times than you can count.
  -  You know that Binoy and Ankur are best friends, as well as Bernard and Rakesh (sometimes) and probably Shubashish and Bhaskar (there are photos that prove it).
  -  You feel that your day was worthwhile when your child can count from 1 to 10 (or in the case of physiotherapy when they can give a full round to Daya Dan walking)
  -  You have become an expert in wringing out clothes, wiping and making beds, feeding a child (not me yet), carrying buckets of clothes through 3 floors, carrying children through 3 floors and saying “DO NOT ___insert the appropriate verb:___ (hit, scream, run, draw on the walls, take what is not yours, go inside, go outside, move, throw, eat the worm, etc.)
  -  You speak about Daya Dan all through your day and never get tired of the same Daya Dan jokes over and over again.
  -  You don’t even notice that some boy hit you, kicked you, pulled you, etc. until the bruises come up
  -  You start to behave like the children: moving your fingers like Justice and saying “Oh Sister”, screaming “Sité!” like Joakim, moving your arms up and down like Binoy, crying like Shubhashish, hiding like Rama, waving a stick like Joy, moving your head like Manu or looking startled all the time like Dilip and Nisha
  -  You know that the only thing that makes Sourav move is “Venga, Vamos!”
 -  You realize that you are completely and totally in love with these children.
